UNACEM receives Socially Responsible Company distinctive
On Thursday, June 15, Unión Andina de Cementos UNACEM was recognized with the Socially Responsible Company distinctive (ESR, acronym in spanish) granted by Peru 2021 and the Mexican Center for Philanthropy – CEMEFI in the 2016 – 2017 version, for having satisfactorily met the established standards in the strategic areas of Corporate Social Responsibility.
This is the sixth time that the company has continuously received this award for the good practices of Social Responsibility that it develops, based on a diagnosis that consists of three axes: organizational culture, environmental development and impact risk management.
The distinctive is a self-assessment tool that aims to strengthen the culture of Corporate Social Responsibility, identify opportunities for improvement in the integral management of the company and increase the commitment of stakeholders to generate shared value.
In addition, the award credits the company to its employees, investors, clients, authorities and society in general, for voluntarily and publicly assuming the commitment of a socially responsible management as part of its culture and business strategy.
Raquel Ochoa, chief of knowledge management and communications, and María Hinostroza, head of planning and administration of the UNACEM Association, attended this ceremony.
