Mr. Elmer Rafael Cuba Bustinza

Mr. Cuba is a member of the Board of Directors of UNACEM since 2020. He is Managing Partner of Macroconsult SA and independent director of Refinería La Pampilla S.A.. He has been a specialized economist in BCRP (1993-1995), the Peruvian member of the Pacific Economic Outlook of the PECC, also coordinator of the Macroeconomy Group of The Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social (Economic and Social Research Consortium) and director of Cofide (2000-2001). He has also been vice president of Osinerg and a member of their Board of Directors (2000-2006), member of the Advisory Board of the Justice Department’s Presidency (2009-2010), independent director of the mining company Milpo and the mining company Atacocha until 2010 and vice president and member of the Free Competition Commission of Indecopi (2004-2013).
Advisor of the IADB, World Bank, ILO, ECLAC, USAID, CAF, Andean Community, CIES (Economic and Social Research Consortium), Fondoempleo (National Fund for Job Training and Employment Promotion), Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Economy and Finance and SUNAT (National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration) and permanent macroeconomic advisor for many important national and international companies that operate in the country. He has a master’s degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and he is a professor at the Master’s in Economics from Universidad Católica.
